Makenna had her first preschool Christmas program and she played the part of an angel. We practiced and practiced the songs for a couple weeks. She even had the cd playing in her Daddy's truck, so they could practice when he took her to school. The day of the program we even practiced singing in the bathroom while we were getting ready. So you would think she would be prepared, right? Wrong. She got up there and didn't sing one word to a song. She even started the program out crying. Mom said that is exactly how I acted when I was in a program.
Her teacher, Ms. Cindy, said that Makenna was supposed to wear wings and a halo, but she refused to wear the wings and they lost the halo on the way up to the sanctuary. Also, the reason she was crying in the beginning was because she wanted her costume off. Thankfully, Ms. Jill and Ms. Cindy talked her into staying up there and going along with the program even though she didn't sing.
Makenna didn't like the Santa in the mall, but this Santa she liked. He even knew she was an Ackerman girl.
